We are an intergenerational community dissatisfied with the American Dream, the stories we tell to guide the purpose of our lives and the institutions we build. In our history books and in our TV’s, we are told that purpose lies in fame, power, and wealth, that purpose lies within the homes I buy, the cars I own, and the education that I receive, that purpose lies within our individual success and familial duties.

But when we blindingly pursue this Dream, we forget how it has used fear and security to separate people of all colors, classes, and creeds and allow the domination of a few. We forget that the Dream, too, has separated us from within. We forget that purpose is what we create ourselves. It is love that makes us humanity – not love you just fall into, but rather love that is feeling and thought, speech and action.

So this is our journey to renew our vows with a new story, new love, and a new American Dream.
